Now a case of fire in an electric car has come to the fore. A Tata Nexon EV caught fire in Mumbai, Maharashtra. At present, the reasons for this particular incident are not known.

The incident is from Vasai West area of ​​Mumbai. Here suddenly a fire broke out in a Nexon. According to initial reports, short-circuit is being said to be the reason for the fire in the car. However, no casualties have been reported so far in this accident. Its video has surfaced on social media, in which the car can be seen engulfed in flames.

Tata Motors has issued a statement assuring an investigation into the cause of the Nexon EV fire. The carmaker said, “We will share the details in this matter after the completion of our investigation. A detailed investigation is being done to ascertain the incidents of fire in electric two-wheelers that happened recently in the country.”

Nexon EV is the best selling car
Talking about the Tata Nexon EV, it is the best selling electric car in India. This electric car gets a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack along with an electric motor. Its motor generates 129 bhp power and 245 Nm peak torque. It has the option of automatic transmission. On a full charge, this car gives a range of 312 kmpl.

Gets charged in 60 minutes
This electric car can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 60 minutes using a DC fast charger. With a regular charger, it can charge from 20 to 100 percent in eight hours. Tata Motors also recently launched the Nexon EV Max in India which gets a bigger battery pack, develops more power and torque, and is claimed to offer a range of 437 km on a single charge.
