AIIMS Delhi Director: AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria has once again got an extension. Now his tenure has been extended for the next three months or till the appointment of a new director. Even before this, Randeep Guleria got an extension. Before giving extension to Randeep Guleria, the AIIMS administration had also considered many names. It is being told that the AIIMS administration had also sent the names of three doctors to the ACC but all the names were rejected and Guleria has once again got an extension of 3 months.
Before this, Dr Guleria’s tenure as AIIMS director ended on March 24, but due to the extension, he remained in this post till June 24, now once again he has got an extension of 3 months i.e. That now once again he will remain in the same post till September 24. Let us inform you that on March 28, 2017, Dr. Guleria was appointed as the Director of AIIMS located in New Delhi for a period of five years.

The tenure of AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria was to end on March 24, but the central government extended his tenure for 3 months, after which his tenure was extended till June 24. Now on June 23, he has once again been given an extension of 3 months by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In March this year, the names of three doctors selected by a search-cum-selection committee and later approved by AIIMS’ top decision-making institution body were sent to the ACC for final approval.

Earlier, the recommendation of the names of three doctors was sent by the AIIMS Administration for the post of Director of AIIMS. These three doctors include Dr Nikhil Tandon, Head of the Department of Endocrinology, Head of AIIMS Trauma Center (AIIMS Trauma Center Chief) and Head of Orthopedic Department Dr Rajesh Malhotra and Department of Gastroenterology. Professor Dr Pramod Garg was included.
