Assam Minister Drives Boat To Take Patient To Hospital Amid Floods


Flood in Assam: Due to the continuous rain in the northeastern states of the country for the past few days, a very difficult situation has arisen. In the last week, many states including Assam, Sikkim, where many incidents of landslides were seen on one side. At the same time, most of the areas of Assam have been submerged due to the rise in the water level of the rivers.

Assam Transport Minister Parimal Shuklabaidya is seen helping people amid the floods. Recently, a video of him has surfaced on social media, in which he is seen working as a sailor to take a patient to the hospital for treatment.

Transport Minister drove the boat

According to the information, the person had to go to the hospital for his dialysis. He had to face difficulties due to the rising water level of the river. After which the Transport Minister Parimal came forward to help him and himself, sitting on the boat, saw the boat crossing the flooded road in Barak valley with a wooden paddle.

32 districts submerged

Most of the districts in Assam have been submerged due to the spate of Brahmaputra and Barak rivers. It is being told that in 32 districts out of the total 36 districts of the state, a large part of the land has been submerged due to the overflowing of Brahmaputra and Barak rivers as well as their tributaries.

On seeing the effect of the flood, people are seen walking in knee-deep water in many low-lying areas. At the same time, with the help of Army and NDRF teams, thousands of people are also being rescued from many areas. Let us inform that Transport Minister Parimal Suklabaidya is camping in Silchar in Cachar district of Assam and monitoring the flood situation in Barak Valley along with local MLAs, Deputy Commissioners and senior officials of the three districts.
