The 60th match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is underway right now in Mumbai, where the three-time finalists Royal Challengers Bangalore are battling former runners-up Punjab Kings. Both teams are alive in the race to the playoffs, and a win tonight can prove to be very important to the two franchises. Virat Kohli had yet another unlucky dismissal in the tournament.

Speaking about the match between the Punjab Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore first, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bowl first. The decision did not work in RCB’s favor as PBKS took advantage of the flat wicket and posted a mammoth score of 209 runs on the board.

Opening batter Jonny Bairstow wreaked havoc with a 29-ball 66. He smashed four fours and seven sixes in his excellent knock. Shikhar Dhawan and Bhanuka Rajapaksa could not make much of an impact. Even captain Mayank Agarwal lost his wicket cheaply as it looked like RCB was pulling things back.

At that stage, Liam Livingstone played fantastic innings of 70 runs. The England batter started a little slow tonight but picked up pace as the innings and finished with 70 runs off 42 deliveries. He batted with a strike rate of 166.67 in an innings where he hit five fours and four sixes.

Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel were the best bowlers for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. While Hasaranga bagged two wickets in his four economical overs, Harshal picked up a four-wicket haul for the Bangalore-based franchise.
