Hyundai to launch 6 electric cars in India by 2028, will be available at affordable prices


New Delhi. Hyundai Motors has started working on a new affordable electric car for the Indian car market. For this the company will invest 512 million USD. Actually, the company is planning to launch six electric cars in India by 2028. Also, the South Korean automaker also plans to launch multiple models in the market this year in electric and ICE powertrain options. However, Hyundai aims to deliver compact and affordable electric cars for the Indian market in the future.

Automakers across the world have shown interest in the Indian car market, especially in the electric vehicle space, as the popularity of electric vehicles is increasing in the country. Let us tell you that apart from Hyundai, MG India has also prepared a pipeline for affordable electric vehicles for India, and similarly Citroen is also preparing affordable electric vehicles.

Work being done on economical electric vehicle
In this regard, Tarun Garg, Sales Director, Hyundai Motor India told Reuters that the company is working on an affordable electric vehicle for the Indian market. The team is working to resolve issues related to the charging ecosystem, sales network, manufacturing and assembly process.
