New Delhi. Kawasaki India, the legendary name in the sports bike world, is going to launch its new bike Ninja 400 tomorrow i.e. on June 24. A day earlier, the company had released its teaser on social media. The Ninja 400 is being relaunched in the country with the updated BS6 engine. Earlier, the model was discontinued in April 2020 due to emission norms.
The Kawasaki Ninja 400 was earlier sold in limited numbers in India. The new 2022 model will also be made available exclusively. It will take on sport bikes with engines below 400 cc such as the new KTM RC 390 and TVS Apache RR 310 in India.

Updated engine will be available in the bike
The new Ninja 400 has a BS-6 399cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. This engine meets the emission norms. Kawasaki has not made any other changes in the powertrain. The output of this engine is 44 bhp and 37 Nm of peak torque. The overall power output is the same as compared to the previous BS4-spec engine, but the torque has dropped by 1 Nm. Transmission is the same 6-speed unit that also comes with slipper clutch mechanism.
Features of this bike
Apart from the engine, no changes have been made to the rest of the features of the bike. It gets Ninja H2-inspired styling features with fast twin-pod headlight and fairing-integrated front turn indicator. Other exterior highlights include split-style seats, muscular 14-litre fuel tank, sporty paint livery and side-slung exhaust with dual-tone finish.
This will be the price of the bike
Internationally, this bike can be bought in two paint options. This includes Lime Green with Ebony (KRT Edition) and Metallic Matte Carbon Gray with Metallic Carbon Grey. Expect the price of the new Ninja 400 to exceed Rs. 5 lakhs.

This bike launched a few days ago
The company has recently launched a new version of Ninja 300 in India. The starting price of the bike is Rs. 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom). Many changes have been made in the new Kawasaki Ninja 300. The new model will see many changes at the graphics level.
