PM Narendra Modi Karnataka Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Karnataka today. During this, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of many projects in Bangalore. Now the PM is addressing the public in Mysore. Here he started many major projects, which will also benefit the citizens there. Addressing the public, the PM said that between 2004-14, 16 km of electrification was done in Karnataka. Our government had electrification of 1600 kms.

The PM said that Karnataka is one of those states in the country where both the economic and spiritual prosperity of the country are seen together. Karnataka is a perfect example of how we can fulfill the resolve of the 21st century while enriching our ancient culture. This earth has given many great personalities like Nalwadi Krishna Wodeyar, Sir M Visvesvaraya, Rashtrakavi Kuvempu to the country. Such personalities have contributed significantly to the heritage and development of India.

He said that in the schemes made by our government in the last 8 years, priority was given to the spirit that they should touch all sections, all areas of the society, reach them. On one hand, we have given incentives to the youth under the start up policy, while on the other hand we are also giving money to the farmers from PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The PM further said that the government of double engine is working shoulder to shoulder.

Many schemes were made for the downtrodden and the poor.

Targeting the opposition during his address, the PM said that the previous governments had made many schemes for the downtrodden and the poor, but their benefits have been limited. We have worked on mission mode to take government benefits, schemes to every section. Schemes for poverty were widely disseminated in the last eight years. The PM further said, ‘Our government is constantly trying to minimize the dependence of our disabled companions on others.’ He said that in the last 8 years, the Central Government has sanctioned about 70 thousand crore rupees for 5 thousand kilometers of National Highway in Karnataka. Today, the foundation stone of national highway projects worth more than Rs 7,000 crore has been laid in Bangalore.
