Presidential Election 2022: NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu has filed her nomination for the Presidential election. Murmu filed his nomination in the office of the Secretary General of Rajya Sabha in the Parliament House. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda and all the Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states were present with him.
Murmu’s name surfaced after a long discussion
Murmu’s name was announced after a meeting of the party’s parliamentary party held at the BJP headquarters in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, June 21. National President JP Nadda had told that after deliberating on 20 names in the meeting, everyone has unanimously decided to make Draupadi Murmu, a tribal woman leader from eastern India, as the NDA’s presidential candidate.
Earlier, the opposition party has declared Yashwant Sinha as its joint candidate. It has been told that Yashwant Sinha will file his nomination on June 27. The last date for nomination is June 29. The presidential election will be held on 18 July and the results will be announced on 21 July.
Murmu’s victory almost certain
NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu’s victory in the presidential election is almost certain. The NDA, standing just a few steps away from the victory figure, now seems to be moving far ahead of the majority mark with the support of Naveen Patnaik and Jagan Mohan Reddy. On the other hand, the opposition seems to be far behind the magic figure. Which simply means that Draupadi Murmu can be the next President of India.
