KL Rahul Team India: Team India’s batsman KL Rahul may not be able to play in the upcoming tours, but he would definitely like to return to the national team after being fully fit. Captain Rahul was out after suffering an injury ahead of the T20I series against South Africa.
Rahul reported the injury to the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where the medical team assessed the batsman and it was decided that he would not be able to travel to England for the rescheduled fifth Test. However, the batsman is paying close attention to recovery as he shared his pictures on the Ku app on Monday and captioned it as “Keep praying for me.”
Team India reached England on 16 June to start the England tour. India will take on England for the rescheduled fifth Test at Old Trafford starting July 1.
The rescheduled fifth Test will count as the fifth match of India’s 2021 series in England, with the visitors leading 2-1. After the outbreak of Kovid-19 in 2021, the fifth Test was postponed at the last minute. Team India will also play a four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire from June 24 to June 27.
