Fuel Price In India: On the Centre’s decision to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that as soon as the elections were announced, the government did not increase the prices of petrol and diesel and increased by Rs 10 per liter as soon as the elections were over. He said that the price which was increased after the UP elections was reduced yesterday. He said that this was a matter of deceiving the public. The central government is looting accolades without any reason. He also said that the Modi government at the Center has reduced the excise duty on petrol and diesel under the pressure of Congress’s continuous protests against inflation across the country.
He said, in the last two months only, the price of petrol and diesel had increased by about Rs 10 per liter. In such a situation, the deduction by the Center is just a formality. If the central government really wants to give relief to the common man, then the excise duty should be reduced to the level of the UPA government. Due to which the price of diesel-petrol will be reduced by less than Rs 70 per liter. This will give relief to the common man from inflation.
As soon as the elections were announced, the prices of petrol and diesel stopped increasing and after the elections increased by about Rs 10 per liter. Prices have been reduced yesterday even less than the prices which were increased after the UP elections, this is a matter of deceiving the public, they are looting empty applause without any meaning. pic.twitter.com/qw4A20FCdV

Let us inform that the central government has given relief in the prices of petrol and diesel. Central excise duty has been reduced by Rs 8 per liter on petrol and Rs 6 per liter on diesel. Due to this, the price of petrol has come down by Rs 9.5 and that of diesel by Rs 7 per liter.
What will be the impact of the Centre’s decision on Rajasthan?
Petrol was getting Rs 118.03 per liter and diesel Rs 100.92 per liter in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. According to the new rates, petrol will be between Rs 108 to 109 and diesel between Rs 93-94. At the same time, petrol in Ajmer will be 107-108 and diesel will be Rs 93-94 per liter. In Bikaner, petrol will be reduced from Rs 120.26 per liter to between Rs 110-111 and diesel between Rs 96-97. At the same time, petrol in Sriganganagar will be reduced from Rs 122.41 per liter to Rs 112-113 per liter and diesel by Rs 96-97 per liter.
