New Delhi. BSE and NSE saw early gains on Thursday compared to Wednesday. The market closed on the edge after volatility on the day of weekly expiry. In today’s trading, 45 out of 50 Nifty stocks saw buying. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 27 stocks dominated. On the other hand, buying was seen in all 12 shares of Bank Nifty. At the end of trading, the Sensex closed at 52,265.72 with a gain of 443.19 points, or 0.86 per cent. On the other hand, Nifty closed at 15,556.70 with a gain of 143.40 points or 0.93 percent.
Top loser and gainer
Maruti Suzuki, Hero MotoCorp, Eicher Motors, M&M and Bajaj Auto were the top gainers of Nifty in Thursday’s trade. On the other hand, Reliance Industries, Coal India, NTPC, Power Grid Corporation and Grasim Industries were the top losers of Nifty.
The stock market closed with a red mark on Wednesday
Earlier on Wednesday, the 30-share Sensex closed at 51,822.53, down 709.54 points, or 1.35 per cent, at the end of trading. On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange lost 225.50 points, or 1.44 per cent, to close at 15,413.30.
