Amit Shah Telangana Tour: Kalvakuntala Kavita, Legislative Council member of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in Telangana called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was coming to Hyderabad on Saturday to attend a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on various issues, including the rise in the prices of essential commodities. But asked many questions. Kavita, daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, wrote on Twitter that Amit Shah should tell the people of Telangana when the central government will pay the pending dues to the state.

He said ‘Amit Shah ji, welcome to Telangana! Please tell the people of Telangana when the Central Government will pay the following – Finance Commission Grant arrears: over Rs 3,000 crore, Backward Regions Grant: Rs 1,350 crore, GST Compensation: Rs 2,247 crore.’ The TRS leader sought Shah’s response to questions related to “skyrocketing” inflation, “record-breaking” unemployment, large-scale communal violence under the BJP rule and fuel being “most expensive”.

IIM, IISER, NID or Medical College not approved for 8 years
Kavita wants Shah to explain to the people why the Center has failed to approve a single IIM, IISER, NID or medical college in Telangana during the last eight years. He asked, ‘Amit Shahji, is it not sheer hypocrisy of the central government that Karnataka’s Upper Bhadra Project and Ken-Betwa River Linking Project would have been given national project status, while Telangana’s Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme and Kaleshwaram Project would be given national project status. Isn’t it done with?’
