Rajasthan has been the subject of constant discussion for some time, where the Gehlot government and the opposition BJP are attacking each other over the communal violence in different districts. Meanwhile, Union Jal Shakti Minister and MP from Jodhpur, Rajasthan Gajendra Singh Shekhawat participated in ABP News’ special show ‘Press Conference’. In which he answered all the tough questions.
Why is there a Hindu-Muslim debate?
Union Minister Shekhawat accused the Congress of the Hindu-Muslim debate in the country. He said that the existence of Congress ended in the states from where Muslim voters drifted away from the Congress. We have many such examples before us. Apart from Rajasthan, in all the states where such a situation has arisen, they are the only states where the Congress sees any possibility for itself. The Congress discusses the most religious hysteria. There must be some reason behind this.
The opposition has been accusing the BJP government of misuse of agencies, on which Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that, I may admit it once, but no one has stopped the judiciary of India. There are many such cases where after the action of CBI and ED, the court dismissed it. That’s why it is not right to say like this.
‘Mistake in showing history’
In response to the question asked about the debate on Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar and similar heritage, the Union Minister said that, of course, Taj Mahal is the pride of the country. Qutub Minar is a World Heritage Site, so we should be proud of it. The subjects about which the country should have been worried at the time of independence and the way the country’s history should be looked at… there has been a mistake somewhere. The people responsible have distorted history. I do not say that history should be rewritten, but research should be done on it.
